Class of 2022
Business Administration Major
“I had someone believe in me without even knowing me,” says Leannie Jusino ’22 of her first experience with Cedar Crest College admissions. She attended a large high school and made it clear during her college search that she didn’t want to be “just a number.” Her search for a small supportive community ultimately brought her to Cedar Crest.
Now in her sophomore year, Leannie holds leadership roles on campus. She serves as a First-Year Experience Mentor and also works in conference services. As a First-Year Experience Mentor, Leannie is responsible for leading new students through the college transition by facilitating connections with students, faculty and staff, educating about academic and co-educational programs and services and introducing them to Cedar Crest’s rich heritage and traditions centered in women's leadership.
Leannie has previously served as a leadership consultant in the Office of Student Activities (OSA) where she assisted with the planning and implementation of club and organization workshops, OSA events and leadership training.
These experiences have empowered Leannie to improve her own community. Through the feedback of her fellow students, she works to improve the programs she is a part of and, ultimately the Cedar Crest student experience. “I’ve learned how to manage an audience, take feedback and turn it into action. I am big on service and making sure someone’s experience is the best possible. If you want an experience to be great you need to put in the work and know what your audience wants.”
Leannie is a business administration major and will be serving as a student ambassador beginning this fall.
