Residence Halls
Located on Cedar Crest’s beautiful campus, students have to option to live in one of our four residence halls: Butz Hall, Curtis Hall, Moore Hall, or Steinbright Hall.
- Each building offers mostly double and some single rooms with community bathrooms. Depending on the building, some residence halls also offer limited suite-style rooms with semi-private full or half bathrooms.
- All of the rooms include FREE Wifi (for academics and streaming), a Microfridge (microwave, refrigerator, freezer combo) unit, and furniture including a standard twin bed (bunkable), mattress, desk, desk chair, closet, blinds/shades for the windows, and overhead lighting.
Amenities
The residence halls also offer various amenities to help the students feel more “at home” while living on campus. All halls have their own laundry rooms, with FREE high-efficiency washers and dryers. Common lounge spaces can also be found in each of the residence halls for students to gather to study, work on group projects, or just to hang out with each other.
Butz Hall
When you live in Butz Hall, you live in the center of campus and all its activity! The largest residence hall on campus, Butz is centrally located to classes, academic supports, and resources. The Lower Level of Butz Hall is home to the Resource Pantry, Career Closest, College Radio Station, the Office of Housing & Residence Life, and much more. You don’t have far to go to reach dining options, the theatre, bookstore, and other activities. At Butz Hall, you will be part of a large family that likes to have fun and enjoy everything the campus has to offer.
Curtis Hall
Curtis Hall is one of the College’s most stately buildings, home to our SAGE students. Curtis is a multi-use facility with residences on the third floor and academic and administrative offices on the floors below. Renovated in 2016, Curtis offers our SAGE population a comfortable, quiet, and studious community for continuing their education.
Moore Hall
With sweeping views of Cedar Creek Parkway and Cedar Crest’s beloved Quadrangle, Moore Hall is the residence hall with the best views on campus. Moore Hall is home to our First Year Experience Community, where new first year students start to build connections to the college and each other. Because of its easy access to one of Allentown’s most beautiful parks, Moore Hall also offers you terrific recreational opportunities with great walking and jogging trails—as well as Allentown’s acclaimed Rose Garden—only steps away! Or you may choose to spend your time next door at the College’s Cressman Library and Student Success Center, whose proximity makes a late night study or research session both convenient and accessible.
Steinbright Hall
Renovated in 2018, Steinbright Hall offers students a peaceful place to live away from the center of campus. With all the rooms arranged around a central lounge area, Steinbright offers a friendly and lively gathering place for events or just hanging out with friends. The hall is home to the College’s state-of-the art dance facilities, so your dance company rehearsal or movement class is held right next door. With athletic fields adjacent to the building, you will have a front row seat to field hockey, soccer, tennis, lacrosse and softball games.
