The vision of the Dean of Students Office is to provide Cedar Crest students equity without exception in advocacy and access to basic needs, rights, and resources.

Mission Statement

The Dean of Students office strives to create an environment that supports the foundational needs of all students as they develop self-confidence, self-responsibility, and pursue their academic aspirations.

To achieve our vision and mission, we

  • Provide programs and services that support the basic needs and rights of students, such as those that address food and resource insecurity, accessibility, Title IX, and health and wellness.
  • Empower students to succeed by providing support to navigate college life and resources, instilling a sense of confidence and self-responsibility.
  • Collectively work with campus and community partners to develop and lead initiatives that foster student success/connections.
  • Challenge practices that do not recognize and uphold the dignity, rights, diversity, and values of our office and our students.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development and collaboration that enhances our capacity in supporting students to be successful.
