Career Highlights

Selma has over 30 years of experience in accounting. She spent 12 years at a certified public accounting firm as an accountant specializing in tax, payroll, and preparation of corporation and partnership tax returns. Selma served for over nine years in the field of education as a K-8 Technology teacher at a parochial school in Bethlehem while remaining involved in the field of accounting. She spent five years as an adjunct professor at Cedar Crest College and is currently the Chief Financial Officer at a non-profit organization in Allentown. Selma manages the Finance Office which is responsible for an Operating Budget of over $20 Million, tracks all district revenues, monitors spending throughout the year, and ensures proper accounting of all funds. In addition, she oversees grant management and compliance for over $1 million in grant funds, treasury, payroll, and risk management functions. Selma is also fluent in Arabic.

Personal Interests

Selma enjoys spending time with her family and traveling to Beirut, Lebanon. She also enjoys reading, running, and playing volleyball.
