Lynn Staples, MBA, was appointed Vice President for Institutional Advancement in August 2023. Staples has a strong belief in raising money to support the mission of higher education and has built a successful career around this passion. She has a long history of serving Cedar Crest College, having previously worked as Director of the Annual Fund and Director of Development in the early 2000s and then returning to Cedar Crest as Director of Annual Giving in 2018. She was promoted to Executive Director of Development in 2021. In this role, she managed all aspects of the College’s annual giving program and oversaw the advancement services and communications divisions in the Office of Institutional Advancement.

Prior to returning to Cedar Crest College, Staples’ career in higher education included time as Director of Development as well as Director of Community Relations at Penn State Lehigh Valley, and Senior Associate Director of Donor Relations at Muhlenberg College.

Staples is a native of the Lehigh Valley, having earned her undergraduate degree in business from Muhlenberg College. She proudly joined the ranks of our alumnae when she graduated with her MBA from Cedar Crest in 2021.
