Casey Burke, MPS, LCAT, ATR-BC graduated from Pratt Institute in 2012 with her Masters in Professional Studies in Art Therapy and Creativity Development. Prior to her graduate studies, she studied psychology at Fordham University. Casey has utilized the medium of art therapy with a variety of populations, including children on the autism spectrum, developmentally delayed adults, women living with HIV/AIDS, and families in the child welfare system. More recently, Casey has had the opportunity to work with both children and adults combating anxiety and depression by implementing a combination of both art and evidence based techniques, specifically CBT and DBT. From 2017 through 2022, Casey acted as a supervisor and program coordinator at a group private practice based in NYC, which involves the oversight of other NY State licensed creative arts therapists, limited permit art therapists, and graduate interns from a number of NYC based graduate programs, as well as the development and implementation of programming for contract sites including foster care agencies, domestic violence shelters, and after school programs. Since moving to Pennsylvania, in addition to teaching and acting as Internship Coordinator for the MAAT program, Casey has led art therapy groups for adolescents and teens in the juvenile justice system.
