See Yourself in Computer Science

We see you becoming a leader in the tech industry. Whether you aspire to develop innovative software, create advanced data structures, or design compelling user experiences, our program provides the expertise you need.

This program can be completed fully online, or in a hybrid format where you take major courses online and General Education courses at Cedar Crest’s Allentown, PA campus. In this program, you’ll learn from applied projects and have the opportunity to build your own product. You’ll also take a course on career advancement in tech so that when you graduate, you’ll be more than equipped to land your first job in this exciting industry. By taking on an optional concentration in Applied AI, you’ll gain the hands-on experience to drive change in today’s tech industry.

Additionally, through with Cedar Crest’s Harmon Center for Technology you’ll immerse yourself in programming that positions you to be a woman in, or a supporter of women, working in a historically male-dominated field.

Program Highlights:

  • Expanded Learning: You’ll learn from faculty around the country with tech industry experience and collaborate with students at other leading institutions.  This not only provides a rich learning experience, but also bolsters your professional networks in the future.
  • Flexible Options: This program can be completed entirely online or through a hybrid option where you take your major courses online and your General Education courses on our campus.
  • On-Campus Resources: Our Elaine and John Harmon Center for Leadership in Technology will feature collaborative student spaces and computer labs open to all students. It will also present online and in-person programming focused on supporting women in the tech industry.
  • Industry Relevant: This curriculum was developed with feedback from industry leaders, ensuring that you’ll learn the skills you need to enter the tech industry upon graduation. You’ll learn high-value skills such as: Python Programming, Cloud Application Frameworks, Application Development, and Fluency with the Django Framework
  • Job-Focused: You’ll graduate from this program with a portfolio to show to prospective employers. By the end of the program, you’ll have built multiple applications—which rely on database technologies and cloud computing—and websites.
