Summer Orientation and Registration (S.O.A.R.) is an accepted student's first real chance to get to know what it's like to be a Cedar Crest Student. This mandatory, half day program will give students a chance to review their fall class schedule, meet with their academic advisor, and learn a little bit more about what academic life on campus will be like. Students will also have an opportunity to meet the First-Year mentors, meet other incoming students, and begin making connections that will turn into fast friendships.
Unfortunately, due to capacity and social distancing guidance we are unable to host a full parent and family session during SOAR. However, we would like to invite one family member per student to attend a Summer Transition presentation with Dean of Students Kyle Dailey and Dean of Student Success Dr. Calley Taylor. This session will take place from 3:30 pm-5:00 pm in Alumnae Hall on both days of SOAR and will focus on ways families can engage their student during the summer to help ensure a successful transition to Cedar Crest.
