“My greatest accomplishment would have to be to founding both Science Club and Tri-Alpha's E-board. Having an idea turn into a whole organization is just so surreal and beautiful. If someone told me this my freshmen year, I would have never imagined I could do it! But CCC allowed me to grow confident in myself over the years. Also, speaking at the Fall 2021 Tri-Alpha Induction Ceremony with Dr. Wilson was an honor. It allowed me to connect and hear the amazing stories that others like me had to share!”

“A big thank you to all the students who made SYE London a FANTASTIC trip!”

Jill Purdy and Students Abby Road

Dr. Jill Purdy, Education Department

“Congratulations on all your achievements. I enjoyed the time we got to spend together in London on SYE: Jack the Ripper, Harry Potter, London Bridge, Wicked and Abbey Road!. The future is in your hands. Treat it well.”

Sophomore Expedition

Dr. Wendy Robb, School of Nursing Dean

“Happy Graduation to my awesome group of London travelers! We shared many adventures traversing the streets of London, exploring Harry Potter, Harrods, and the Nightingale Museum! We used seemingly gallons of hand sanitizer, but not a mask in sight - who knew? Congratulations to you! Wishing you many successes in your future.

And congratulations to the courageous, nursing graduates of 2022! You have my admiration and respect for all that you've accomplished. May you enter your new nursing role, whether it be as an entry-level or advanced practitioner, with the same compassion and curiosity that brought you to the profession. And in the words of our beloved founder, Florence Nightingale, ‘Let us never consider ourselves finished nurses...We must be learning all of our lives.’ Congratulations and God bless!”

Two Cedar Crest Students

Dr. Micah Sadigh, Professor of Psychology

“Dearest Souls, Our task during your college journey was to tune a string within you—to tune it to a higher note. We can only hope that you are now resonating to the music of a higher ground. The tuned string within you will tune other strings as you encounter other souls. Together you will form a chord—in time a symphony, in time an expression of that Eternal Song that sings all that exists. Thank you for the privilege of being a part of your life's journey.”

Dr. Lindsey Welch with Cedar Crest Students

Dr. Lindsey Welch, Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical & Physical Sciences

“Congratulations to graduating Welch Group seniors Rachel Justice, Talia Watson, and Giulia Romano! Thank you for your hard work and dedication, and stay in touch!”

Roxanne Amico, Professor & Chair of the Performing Arts Department

“Big congratulations to Sierra Lockhart, Hannah Stott, and Leannie Jusino, the first three students to complete the new Events Management minor. Cedar Crest is so much about what students do for the college, as much as it is about just taking courses. The college has been better for all that you did this year to make the campus lively and try to bring people together. You three are a hard act to follow. I think few people can imagine how hard you have really worked, because you make it look effortless and professional. Thank you and good luck next year.”

Dr. K. Joy Karnas with Cedar Crest Students in London

Dr. K. Joy Karnas, Professor of Biological Sciences & Director of the Honors Program
