Cedar Crest College Announces Stackable Certificate-Based Graduate Business Program:Modular Master of Science Image

Cedar Crest College continues to expand its graduate offerings with the addition of the Modular Master of Science. Learners select two complementary graduate certificates in specific business areas to complete, in addition to two core courses, and can graduate with a Master of Science in their particular areas of study. The innovative program was approved by the Board of Trustees on October 18, and the first cohort will begin class in the fall of 2020.

The customizable, fully online graduate degree program provides working professionals with targeted business certification choices that are in-demand by employers. This innovative stackable certificate/modular approach is geared toward today’s busy professional who may be looking for a more convenient, flexible, and specialized alternative to a traditional MBA program. Three certificate options are currently available to students seeking to complete a Modular Master of Science degree:  Strategic Leadership and Analytics, Management Information Systems and Human Resources Management.

The Strategic Leadership and Analytics graduate certificate is available online or in a hybrid (online and classroom) format. This 12-credit graduate certificate provides students with the skills necessary to lead organizations strategically and ethically while exploring the latest analytics trends and technologies that effective managers need to achieve business objectives.

Cedar Crest’s new Management Information Systems certificate is offered solely online. This 12-credit graduate certificate provides learners from a wide array of career fields the opportunity to gain expertise in how the strategic use of information creates value for the organization. Course topics include project management for technology and workplace automation and disruptive innovation.

Also new to Cedar Crest College is the certificate in Human Resource Management. This 12-credit graduate certificate focuses on understanding the strategic use of human resources within an organization. Course topics include diversity and inclusion leadership and legal and regulatory compliance, among others.

Additional certificates eligible for the Module Master of Science will be offered in the near future, creating more options and continuing to focus on areas of study that prepare graduates for life and work in a cutting-edge marketplace and an ever-changing world.
