A Step by Step Guide to Applying
- Most first-time students join us in the Fall, but you can also join us in January
- Submit your free application:
- Online through the Common Application
- Cedar Crest College’s Online application
- Submit a personal essay: when applying you will be asked to tell us about yourself through a personal essay, or you can also share a writing sample.
- Submit your official high school transcripts:
- If you applied through the Common Application, your high school counselor will automatically be notified to send in your transcript.
- If you applied through our Cedar Crest Application, please update any tools your school uses to support your college search, such as Parchment, Naviance, or Scoir.
- Submit your test scores (optional):
- SAT code 2079; ACT code 3536
- Request a Letter of Recommendation: We’d love to hear from someone who knows you well and can share why they think you’ll thrive at Cedar Crest. If you haven’t already, please ask a trusted teacher, coach, or counselor to submit a letter of recommendation through your personal student portal.
- Request your Guaranteed Financial Aid Pre-Award: This will allow us to advise you of your aid eligibility prior to the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) being available (the Federal Government has advised this won’t be live until the end of the year at the earliest, and we don’t want you to have to wait!).
Once admitted, you will need to confirm your attendance by submitting a $200 deposit (due by June 1).
