Career Highlights

Gaetan Giannini is an assistant professor and chair of the business department at Cedar Crest College, as well as a sales and marketing consultant and writer. Gaetan's book-Marketing Public Relations: A Marketer's Approach to Public Relations and Social Media (Pearson-Prentice Hall)-is a ground-breaking manual based on the class Applied Public Relations, which Gaetan created for Cedar Crest's marketing program.

After earning his M.B.A., Gaetan worked for over 15 years in technical/industrial sales and marketing for both startup and companies and large corporations. He also worked for the multi-national firm Solartron (originally a division of Schlumberger, recently purchased by Emerson), where he managed 45 regional sales personnel for the Eastern United States and Canada.
After several years of traveling with Solartron, Gaetan started his own business and marketing consulting firm, Giannini O'Connor LLC.

Memberships & Awards

Gaetan is a member of the American Marketing Association (AMA), Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), American Advertising Federation (AAF) and Greater Lehigh Valley Ad Club (AAF Affiliate).

He serves on the board of directors for the Small Business Council of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, and he is a member of the Lehigh Valley Economic Development Council (LVEDC).

In 2003, Gaetan was selected by the Eastern Pennsylvania Business Journal as one of the top 20 businesspeople under the age of 40.

Personal Interests

Gaetan is married and has two sons. His wife, Crystal, is a physical therapist for Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital. His sons, Jacob and Jason, are avid sports enthusiasts who participate in football and baseball. In his free time, Gaetan enjoys coaching youth baseball and cooking.
