Biology Major with a Co-Major in Secondary Education

Earn a state-certified degree and prepare for a career teaching biology.

Would you like to share your knowledge and enthusiasm for science with middle school and high school students? The biology major with a co-major in secondary education will prepare you as a professional educator to meet the many challenges of the 21st century classroom, teaching biology in grades 7-12.

The co-major is designed to be coupled with the B.S. in biology or with the Integrated Biology B.A., , and you will be instructed and mentored by a highly qualified faculty. All full-time and adjunct faculty members in the education department at Cedar Crest are teacher-scholars with a minimum of five years of teaching experience in K-12 classrooms. This degree program is certified by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
