Cedar Crest College President Dr. Elizabeth M. Meade and Provost Dr. Robert A. Wilson have been named members of Lehigh Valley Business’ Power 30 for Higher Education list. The Power 30 is a list of individuals who hold positions that give them the ability to shape communities and influence our quality of life through education in the Lehigh Valley.

Dr. Elizabeth M. Meade has served as the 14th president of Cedar Crest College since 2018. Dr. Meade, who has been a member of the Cedar Crest faculty since 1993, was named Interim President in July 2017. Prior to that, she was the College’s Provost for five years and previously served as Acting Provost and Chair of Cedar Crest’s Department of Humanities.

“I have had the privilege of getting to know many of our students very well and I have kept in touch with many of them over the years,” says Dr. Meade. “I love seeing the impact of a Cedar Crest College education on their growth, development and future success.”

As Provost, Dr. Robert A. Wilson is the College’s Chief Academic Officer. With a commitment to inclusive excellence, equity and expanded access to higher education, Dr. Wilson has a passion for ensuring that college enables all students to achieve at their highest levels.

“Cedar Crest graduates have an impact,” he says. “Seeing our students take the lead in their careers and apply what they’ve learned with us is the real payoff of higher education. The energy that a group of bright, ambitious students brings to achieving a goal is hard to beat.”
