The annual Cedar Crest College Employee Recognition Ceremony honors employees for milestone years of service and their extraordinary dedication and impact. The College honored over 70 College employees at the ceremony held in Samuels Theatre on Tuesday, December 13.

And the Staff of the Year Award goes to…
Lyn Williams, Registrar & Director of Institutional Effectiveness!
Lyn’s work is extremely critical to the operations of the College and serves every single department at Cedar Crest. Her meticulous attention to detail, her deep commitment to the integrity of our data, and her adherence to legal and ethical standards are unparalleled. When the need arose for a new registrar, she stepped up and recently accepted the role permanently, in addition to her duties as the long-time Director of Institutional Research.
Impact Awards were awarded to the following employees:
Kim Begley – Head Softball Coach, Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance/ Title IX, and Senior Woman Administrator
Kim was recognized for her leadership as Interim Director of Athletics, supporting her staff and the student-athletes throughout the transition, in addition to leading her softball team into the CSAC Conference Championships this year.
Beth Fitch – Administrative Assistant, School of Nursing
Recognized for her service to the School of Nursing, Beth’s calm and pleasant demeanor and consistent helpfulness enhance the experience of the faculty, staff, and students of the SON.
Greg George, MS – Campus Police Officer
Awarded for his dedication, professionalism, and courtesy as a Campus Police Officer, Greg creates a feeling of security for our community, and his presence makes Cedar Crest a safer place.
Kelly Hall, Ph.D. – Director of Global Initiatives
Kelly was honored for her dedication to increasing study abroad opportunities for students and faculty across the College, including her extraordinary success in leading the College’s signature experience, the Carmen Twillie Ambar Sophomore Expedition.
Shannon Pretko – Assistant Director of Information Technology
Shannon was awarded for her devoted service to the College through her role as the Assistant Director of Information Technology, as well as her phenomenal mentorship to the student workers in IT.
Nicole Rivera, MSLS – Public Services Librarian
Nicole was recognized for her creativity and energy, along with the myriad of ways she has helped transform the Cressman Library into a safe and welcoming space on campus.
Lynn Staples, MBA – Executive Director of Development
Lynn was recognized for her creativity in designing successful philanthropic campaigns and serving an integral role in the Office of Institutional Advancement as the team exceeded key fundraising goals.
