Mission Statement
The Cedar Crest College Nutrition minor is committed to integrating basic nutrition concepts and interventions that promote personal, community and global health and wellness into a student’s chosen major field of study.
Whether you major in business, a science, the performing arts, or another area of study, the nutrition minor can help you foster the healthy habits that will equip you well on your journey through life.
Program Requirements for the Nutrition Minor
The Nutrition minor requires 18 credits of nutrition coursework. There are nine credits (3 courses) from required courses and students will choose an additional nine credits from the additional course list. A meeting with the program director is required prior to declaring the major. All Nutrition minors must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 and earn a grade of C or better in all NTR courses.

Accreditation
ACEND Accreditation
The Cedar Crest College undergraduate Nutrition degree program and the Dietetic Internship Program are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. ACEND is the specialized accrediting agency for education programs preparing students for careers as registered dietitian nutritionists. ACEND protects students and the public by assuring the quality and continued improvement of dietetics programs as recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
