You’ve earned your RN license and discovered the satisfactions of a nursing career. Now we see you taking the next step: earning your bachelor’s degree. It’s a good career move. You’ll expand your employment opportunities, be poised to achieve more in your career and open the door to advanced study if you choose.

We get it. Your career and your patients are important to you, so a daytime nursing program might not be ideal for you. That’s why we’ve designed this program to be flexible. Our RN-BSN program can be completed mostly online, or through evening and weekend classes so that you can more easily work on your BSN without interrupting your career.

Cedar Crest College accepts RNs directly into the online bachelor’s degree program without testing, provided you:

  • Have graduated from an accredited program
  • Are licensed to practice as an RN
  • Obtained a 2.5 GPA or better in your previous course of study

Once accepted to our program, you’ll need to meet all the curriculum requirements for the nursing major. You may earn academic credit for previous non-nursing studies. And in accord with the Pennsylvania Articulation Model, you may earn 36 nursing credits upon completion of the Concepts in Professional Nursing (NUR 326), which helps you progress toward your bachelor’s degree.

Coming to Cedar Crest with some previous credits under your belt? We see how hard you worked for your previous credits, so that’s why we’ve developed a generous transfer credit policy. Our transfer counselors will help you make sure you can finish strong.
