This program can be completed fully online, or in a hybrid format where you take your major courses online and your General Education courses at Cedar Crest’s Allentown, PA campus. The Cedar Crest Cybersecurity program will provide you with the skills and knowledge you need to enter this exciting and growing field. We’ll provide you with the foundation, support and connections you need to play a vital role in diversifying the industry workforce.
Additionally, through Cedar Crest’s Harmon Center for Technology, you’ll immerse yourself in programming that positions you to be a woman in, or a supporter of women, working in a historically male-dominated field.

- Expanded Learning: You’ll learn from faculty around the country with tech industry experience and collaborate with students at other leading institutions. This not only provides a rich learning experience, but also bolsters your professional networks in the future.
- Flexible Options: This program can be completed entirely online or through a hybrid option where you take your major courses online and your General Education courses on-campus.
- On-Campus Resources: Our Elaine and John Harmon Center for Leadership in Technology will feature collaborative student spaces and computer labs open to all students. It will also present online and in-person programming focused on supporting women in the tech industry.
- Certification Preparedness: You’ll graduate from this program with the knowledge you need to sit the Comp-TIA Security+ certification exam. As you enter your career, certifications will play a crucial role in your growth as a cybersecurity professional.
- Learn to think like a hacker: We’re forging cybersecurity leaders with a rebellious spirit, a strong ethical compass, and practical, resume-ready technical skills. Our program develops students who champion ethics, understand business implications, and can use their digital security skills as a force for good.

Our Elaine and John Harmon Center for Leadership in Technology will feature collaborative student spaces, computer labs, and programming to provide our students with the resources they need to succeed as a woman in or as a supporter of women in the tech industry.
You’ll utilize our online learning system (Canvas) for not just your online Major courses, but all your classes at Cedar Crest. This program is built to ensure that its online classes are not merely attempting to recreate the in-person experience, but truly leverage the strengths of online learning.
Go Abroad your Sophomore Year
As a first-time, traditional college student, you’ll get to study abroad with your class on our annual Sophomore Expedition. This uniquely Cedar Crest experience guarantees each of our students the opportunity to study abroad—at no additional cost. Recent destinations have included Dublin Ireland, Athens Greece, and Marrakesh Morocco, but each year’s experience is unique!
