Women’s History Month is a time to reflect on and commemorate the history, achievements, and contributions of women in our community and around the world. At Cedar Crest, we’ve been smashing ceilings and empowering women since 1867, and we’re not slowing down now.
On Saturday, February 18, Cedar Crest College held its annual Junior Ring Ceremony, a beloved tradition that has been celebrated for more than 80 years. The ceremony was initiated by former President Curtis and has been held in its current format since 1942.
Cedar Crest juniors dressed in black and were presented with their class rings, symbolizing their commitment to the College community. The rings, which have remained similar in design since 1965, feature an oval onyx containing three interlocking Cs in either gold or silver. Participants also received yellow roses from their family and friends.
