Cedar Crest College named Top Regional College and Best Value by U.S. News & World Report
U.S. News & World Report ranked Cedar Crest College in the ‘best value’ and ‘top regional college’ category for the rankings of northern colleges. The 2017 report places Cedar Crest College second for value and sixth for overall. The College’s ranking increased this year in both ‘best value’ (third in 2016) and ‘best regional college’ (fourteenth in 2016).
U.S. News & World Report is not the first to recognize Cedar Crest as a top college or for achieving a high return on investment for students. Cedar Crest was recently placed in the top thirty on the Washington Monthly College Rankings list for ‘top baccalaureate college’ and ‘best bang for the buck in the northeast.’ Additionally, MONEY Magazine placed Cedar Crest in the top 25% on its ‘best colleges’ list, with a ranking of 160 out of 705 institutions.
“What is distinctive about Cedar Crest is that we try to infuse our mission in all of the things that we do, from our financial aid policy, to our ability to help students in all spectrums of the economic range to pursue their education,” said Cedar Crest College President, Carmen Twillie Ambar. “What it says when you’re consistently in the rankings, and it’s not a one-time thing, is that you are about your mission. That’s why you’re there consistently. You’re proving that this is where you are dedicated. This is what you care about. This is what’s important to you.”
